A two day event at the very excellent Roundhill Woods,

A two day event at the very excellent Roundhill Woods, near Tring/Chesham.

For those of you who when last time, you will know that it is a fabulous site with lots to see and do. Very very big bomb holes, woody tracks, steep climbs out of dells and mud, lots of mud.

There will be driving games to test your skill and some family orientated events as well as the usual 4x4 driving.

So we are having both Saturday and Sunday for the 16th and 17th October

We will have a toilet on site. There will be no catering, so you will have to bring your own.
There will be different punch challenges and trials sections set up for each day, so Saturday will be different from Sunday.
The Saturday will open at 13:00 for a 13:30 start and go on until 19:00 .
The Sunday will open at 09:30 for a 10:00 start and go on until 16:00 .

There will be a very limited number of places for over night camping, and this is only open to fully paid up 2010 members. In order to utilize this you must prebook and pay up front.

The cost for 1 day is Ł25 (plus an optional Ł5 to join for the rest of the year).

The 2 day ticket is Ł35 (again plus an options Ł5 to join for the rest of the year).

Members will also have the chance to get to stay over (in your own tent), but camping is limited and prebooking is recommended - use the club phone number.

Please indicate your interest for which day(s) you want to come, and if you want to camp. This is by no means a first to note interest, but will always be on first to pay gets it basis!

If you send an email to richard@burnhamoffroaders.org.uk he will then let you know how to pay in advance, and will then be able to inform you if you were successful.

Roundhill Woods - Tring/Chesham

Roundhill woods, Wigginton, Tring, Herts

A large woody site with plenty for everyone.

Directions:
Go to Chesham.
Leave Chesham on the A416 towards Berkhamstead.
As you leave Chesham, the main round turn sharp right up a hill next to a garage, Follow the minor road straight on along the valley. This is Vale Road.
Follow this road for 3.6 miles until you get to the village of Cholesbury.
Just after the cricket pitch, turn right onto Cholesbury Road.
Follow this road for a mile, almost to the end. On the left you will see the entrance to the site.
From the A41
Take the Tring B4635 turn off and head away from Tring towards Wiggington.
Once in Wiggington, at the crossroads take the Chesham Road (right if you came in on Fox Road and Vicarage Road.
Follow this road for just over a mile. You will go past the entrance to Champneys Health Spa on the left, but take the next right inyo Cholesbury Road toward Cholesbury.
After about 300 yards the entrance is on the right.
